Extra Credit: Video or Photo Post

How this reminds me of the Crucible is how the fear of one thing can cause people to start to turn against each other. If nobody knew Lucifer "existed" then everybody wouldn't be making ridiculous accusations on each other about "making a deal with the Devil" and "Witchcraft". Although if we didn't have the Bible we wouldn't have Law and Order that we have today. So, if Lucifer didn't exist then we wouldn't have fear to be good people or else burn forever in hell.

The Crucible?

The Crucible written by Arthur Miller is about the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. The setting is Spring in 1692 in a small town called Salem. It is about some girls who seemed to be dancing in the woods and then they seem to be "possessed" by a witch. Then, after the first accusation starts everybody who is accused of being witches accuses other people of witchcraft and it gets way out of control. We are reading this book because we should learn about the Great American History we have in this country.
This relates to my life because i know quite a large group of people and we each do/like different things and are sort of like a community. We help each other if we need help but once someone is suspected of something wrong done to our group everybody is against them and ignores them. Even if no one really knows about it if its just a rumor they are kind of excluded until they can prove them self good again. So if someone get caught doing something and some of us get in trouble we start blaming each other for the trouble caused against them. So my group is like Salem because everyone knows each other but we put blame on each other even if we know for a fact that they didn't do it.

Stereotypical Americans

There are many stereotypes of Americans many of which are quite negative. Most of the world thinks we are fat, obnoxious, loud, and LOVE George Bush. Sadly most of these stereotypes are true but they are decreasing a lot, but most people from the south still love being fat obnoxious and approve of Bush. Also, a stereotype that is very true is that we HAVE to be first in doing anything or else we will dump all our money into that one thing until  we surpass the country that is beating us the that "race". One good example is the "space race" were we HAD to make sure that Russia didn't get to space first and when they did beat us we were ashamed and frightened that Russia would send nukes at us from space. So, our initial reaction to this "threat" WE made is that we had to get at least something into space that was halfway significant. We as Americans need to stop approving these stereotypes put on by other Countries! We need to be DIFFERENT we need to CHANGE! Finally, to help with these stereotypes popping up we need to keep our noses out of other peoples business and let them do their own thing without us on their back all the time! Lets be honest here, a lot of the other countries in the world would be A LOT more excepting of us if we kept to ourselves. Do the world a favor America keep to yourselves and extinguish all stereotypes about us by actually getting rid of them.

Sincerely, Deinlein
